Quotes
Create quotes, manage statuses, and export results.
A quote (Calculation in the classic menu) is a product with specific sizes and options for one customer. It can serve as a customer offer, project estimate, or production order.
Creating a quote
Open Quotes and choose New quote (in the classic menu: Calculations → New Calculation). Optionally enter the customer or project, pick one or more products and choose Create quote. Set sizes and options to match the customer's requirements; Paramiq computes formulas, material quantities, and pricing in real time.
Quote statuses
- Draft — work in progress, parameters can be changed freely.
- Sent / Pending — submitted for review, awaiting confirmation.
- Approved / Confirmed — approved, parameters are typically locked.
- Production — in manufacturing, order is frozen.
- Done / Completed — finished, read-only archive.
By default Paramiq uses this pipeline, but your workspace can rename or customize statuses. Some older UI labels still show the legacy names Pending, Confirmed, and Completed.
Working with quotes
- Edit draft metadata — change the quote name, customer name, or notes while the quote is editable and your permissions allow it.
- Override draft parameters — adjust individual values for this quote; frozen quotes are read-only.
- View BOM — see the full bill of materials with computed quantities and prices.
- 3D preview — visualize the configured product in 3D (if rules are set up).
- Share — create a view-only customer link (later, Copy link copies it again) and check its price and visible information before sending.
Export
On the quote page, open Actions and choose Export PDF, Export Excel, or Export CSV. For new accounts, export requires Pro or an active Pro trial and the required permissions. Existing Starter and Business subscriptions keep their agreed access. Free does not include export.
Nested products in quotes
If your product uses nested products, the quote page shows each nested instance with its own parameters and BOM. You can override parameters per instance and toggle instance visibility.
Use the "Duplicate" button to quickly create a similar quote with different sizes and options — saves time for repeat customers.
