Create your first configuration in 5 minutes.

Getting Started Options

Choose a template — browse the Template Gallery and customize a ready-made configuration.
Describe with AI — press Ctrl+K and describe your product in plain language. AI generates parameters, formulas, and specification.
Upload a file — import from a photo, PDF, spreadsheet, DOCX, or text file. Paramiq extracts text first, then AI builds a draft configuration.
Start from scratch — create an empty configuration and build it step by step.

Step 1: Create a Configuration

After signup, Paramiq opens a short setup wizard where you pick a starter package — a Showcase Demo (fence, pergola, and gate with 3D scenes and live BOM), an industry pack like Fencing Manufacturer or Outdoor Structures, or Start Empty. Your chosen package pre-fills the dashboard with sample configurations, calculations, materials, and a public shared-scene review link (Start Empty begins with a clean workspace).

When you want to build your own product, click "New Configuration" from the Dashboard. If you explicitly want the guided onboarding flow, restart it from Help and continue through template, AI, upload, or scratch. You can also delete the starter demo data later from Configurations, Calculations, Materials, and 3D Materials.

Step 2: Add Parameters

Switch to the Parameters tab. Click "Add Parameter" and create your inputs. For a fence, you might add: $width (number, 1000–5000mm), $height (number, 1000–3000mm), $material (list: aluminum, steel, wood).

$height   → number, default 2000
$material → list, options: aluminum, steel, wood

Step 3: Write Calculations

Switch to the Calculations tab. Add formulas that compute derived values. For example, area = $width * $height / 1000000 (in m²).

If you prefer fewer automatic popups while typing formulas, open Formula Assist in the editor header and switch to Manual mode. Ctrl+Space still opens suggestions on demand, and obvious issues such as an extra separator can be corrected from the quick fix shown under the field.

Step 4: Build Specification

Switch to the Specification tab. Add materials from your catalog (or create new ones). Set quantity formulas — e.g., "Fence Panel" with quantity ceil($width / 500).

Step 5: Preview, Calculate & Share

Check the BOM and 3D preview to verify quantities, prices, and visualization. Then create a calculation to test a real instance, export a quote, share a read-only snapshot, or publish a public calculator if that workflow is enabled in your workspace.

You can import an existing configuration from JSON, or use the AI assistant to generate everything from a text description. For scanned PDFs, page images usually work better than uploading the PDF directly.
