Team & Roles

Paramiq supports multi-user teams with role-based access control. Invite colleagues and pick a role plus optional per-user scope to control exactly what they can see and do.

Roles

Six preset roles cover the typical fabricator workflow. Roles are fixed templates — custom roles are a white-label feature.

• Owner — full access to everything including billing, branding, ownership transfer, and team management.
• Admin — same operational access as Owner but cannot manage billing or transfer ownership; cannot demote or remove the Owner.
• Editor — designer/constructor role: full access to configurations, calculations, materials, templates, and 3D scenes; read-only on team and pipeline.
• Manager — sales-facing: can create and manage calculations and orders; sees materials with retail prices only; cannot edit configurations.
• Estimator — pricing role: full access to calculations; read-only on configurations, materials and 3D; sees base + retail prices but not wholesale.
• Viewer — read-only across the workspace, sees retail prices only.

Available roles by plan

• Free — Owner only (1 seat).
• Starter — Owner, Editor, Viewer (3 seats).
• Pro — all six roles (10 seats).
• Business — all six roles (unlimited seats).

Per-user scope

On Pro and above, the Owner can narrow what an individual member sees on top of their role template. Open Settings → Team → Configure on a member to set:

• Restrict to own records (Pro+) — the member only sees configurations and calculations they created themselves.
• Allowed configuration categories (Business) — whitelist which categories appear in their lists; an empty whitelist means all categories.
• Allowed material groups (Business) — whitelist which material groups they can browse; an empty whitelist means all groups.

Pricing tier visibility

Material catalogues store up to three price tiers (base, retail, wholesale). Each role sees a fixed subset; non-visible tiers are stripped from API responses and exports.

• Owner / Admin / Editor — see all three tiers.
• Estimator — base + retail.
• Manager / Viewer — retail only.

Inviting Members

Go to Settings → Team. Owner and Admin can send invitations for any role allowed by the current plan. The invitee receives an email with a link to join your workspace.

Invitations

• Invitations are valid for 7 days.
• The invitee must sign up with the exact email address the invitation was sent to.
• You can cancel pending invitations from the Team page.
• Seats already used (members + pending invitations) count against the plan seat limit.

Owner protection

Only an Owner can promote another member to Owner, or demote / remove an existing Owner. Admin can manage every other member but cannot touch the Owner.
